Wolves should join hunt for Emmanuel Dennis with Patrick Cutrone set to leave

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone is closing in on a move to Fiorentina.

The 22-year-old is currently back in his homeland putting the finishing touches on a loan deal that will reportedly cost £1.5 million, with a £13.5 million obligation-t0-buy ().

Cutrone only joined Wolves last summer but has been unable to prove his worth at Molineux.

The form of Raul Jimenez has made opportunities hard to come by, and the Italian has been unable to get any kind of momentum going.

He’ll head back to Italy in the hope of rediscovering his mojo, leaving Wolves with just one out-and-out number nine in Jimenez.

Nuno Espirito Santo will surely need to replace him, and perhaps a swoop for Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis should be considered.

TBR’s view Wolves should join hunt

Nigerian striker Dennis has been catching the eye this season for the Belgian outfit and made headlines in late 2019 for scoring twice against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the Champions League group stages.

Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United have all made enquiries , but Wolves should throw their hat into the mix with Cutrone leaving.

Dennis supposedly valued at around £25 million () operates primarily as a central striker, but has the versatility to play out wide which would be a bonus.

The 22-year-old has impressive pace, which could be a nice alternative to the power and physicality of Jimenez, and is good with both feet.
