Wolves reportedly ‘join hunt’ for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez
Wolverhampton Wanderers are being linked with shock move for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez.
the Black Country club have joined Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the Colombia international, who is still somewhat out of favour at the Bernabeu.
Rodriguez spent the 2017/18 and 2018/19 campaigns on loan at Bayern Munich in a bid to rediscover his form.

The Bavarians opted against signing him permanently, and the £71 million signing () is now back at Real where he has made nine (mostly substitute) appearances in all competitions this term.
Apparently Rodriguez’s representative Jorge Mendes – who has brokered several deals to take players to Molineux in recent times – has opened the door to make a move possible.
But a move would only happen if Ruben Neves went in the opposite direction.
TBR’s view – Wolves shouldn’t be tempted
Given Neves only signed a new deal last year, one would imagine such a transfer is highly unlikely.

Rodriguez sounds like a glamourous name but the reality is that he has fallen way short of his potential.
The star was supposedly on track to become one of Europe’s best players after his exploits at the 2014 World Cup, but aged 28 he is nowhere near the top bracket of players.
Neves hasn’t shown his best form this season, but aged just 22 he is a player who could potentially be special, and Wolves should not be using him in any sort of deal to land a significantly older player who has struggled in recent years.
