Wolves make offer to take Arsenal’s £24m player on loan for the rest of the season

Wolves have been one of the quieter clubs this month and they are looking to finish the transfer window with a bit of a flurry.

Gary O’Neil’s side have had to deal with the losses of players like Pedro Neto and Max Kilman and on the flipside, their incomings have been sparse.

Still, O’Neil is hoping to get the backing to sign a few new players and there are a cluster of players on the market who the Wolves boss is looking at.

But while strengthening the attack and replacing Neto is key for O’Neil and Wolves, it looks like they’re also looking at adding at the other end too.

However, there is a potential problem in the deal from Wolves.

According to TT, Arsenal would prefer to sell Ramsdale and Wolves are simply offering to take him on loan for the season as it stands.

Ramsdale has dropped behind David Raya in the pecking order and after spending last season as number two, is expected to move on.

Bournemouth are also thought to be keen on Ramsdale, while Nottingham Forest are also admirers of the England stopper.

Arsenal want some money back for Ramsdale after paying to sign him from Sheffield United.

Ramsdale needs a move

For all his professionalism and how popular he is at The Emirates, Aaron Ramsdale has ambitions of playing for England and for that, he needs to be playing.

Ramsdale has done his duty with Arsenal and you get the impression the club will try and do their best to help him in his next move.

A switch to Wolves could work out for Ramsdale, as long as he is guaranteed the number one spot.

Anything else would seem almost pointless and spending time on the bench at another club other than Arsenal makes no sense.
