Report: Wolves make late play to sign ‘world-class’ international star who’s already been offered to Newcastle and Leeds

The transfer window is set to slam shut today with a busy day predicted for a number of clubs, one of which could be Bruno Lage’s Wolves.

Wolves have had a steady window really. The biggest news to come from Molineux is the decision which has seen Adama Traore depart for Barcelona. The Spanish winger looked set to sign for Tottenham all January but has gone back to his first club to kickstart his career. Wolves, meanwhile, have signed Chiquinho, Hayao Kawabe and Jeong Sang-bin.

However, according to , Wolves might not be quite done. They claim that the club has lodged a late bid to try and bring in Aaron Ramsey to the club. Juventus are desperate to offload Ramsey due to his huge salary, and have already offered him to the likes of Newcastle and Leeds.

But now, it could be Wolves who end up with the Welshman. It’s claimed the Molineux outfit have launched a late assault to try and bring Ramsey back to England. The midfielder, who enjoyed a fine spell with Arsenal before, is thought to be open to moving back to the country.

Wolves, then, will need to put together the right financial package to ensure they get this one over the line.

TBR’s View: Ramsey Would Be Class For Wolves

Wales defender Ben Davies called Aaron Ramsey ‘world class’ before and on his day, the former Arsenal man certainly is up there. He brings goals, assists, and an attacking threat from midfield that so many teams crave.

Wolves are not averse to spending big money if they need to. Backed by Fosun, they’ve made some big plays in the transfer window in recent years. Signing Ramsey, though, would be a statement.

Bruno Lage has got Wolves looking solid at the back. Adding more goals is the key to really unlocking this team’s potential. And Ramsey would certainly help with that.
