Wolves lack of spending leaves Liverpool free to move for Carlos Vinicius

Liverpool could have been handed their chance to land Carlos Vinicius, with Wolves apparently out of the race to sign the Benfica star this summer.

The 25-year-old is expected to be highly-coveted this summer after a sensational season with Benfica.

The likes of Wolves and Liverpool have both expressed interest in the player, who has scored 20 times this term and contributed double figures in assists, too.

But , Wolves will no longer move for Vinicius. The expected £53m fee that Benfica will demand is set to be too much for the Molineux club, who are keen to watch their spending.

That move, though, could be just the opening Liverpool needs to make their own play when it comes to landing Vinicius.

Already interested, it could be a one-horse race now for Liverpool

Wolves have been big players in the market in recent times, so with them out of the way, the Reds might well opt to make their move.

Jurgen Klopp will be keen to make sure he brings in the right player, of course. But having already been with Vinicius in the past, it could be silly to not seize this opportunity.

Liverpool have to keep adding quality to ensure they can maintain dominance. And while Timo Werner has been the talk of the town for most of the last few months, Vinicius could be the man they land.

Goals, assists, and room for improvement. It seems that on paper anyway, Carlos Vinicius could be ready-made for a place at Anfield.
