Wolves have to start talisman Raul Jimenez against Bristol City

Wolverhampton Wanderers travel to Bristol City on Sunday in the FA Cup and the competition has completely opened up this season for them.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are the only teams in English football still left in the competition that are above Wolves in the football ladder as it stands.

With Manchester United and Chelsea facing off in the fifth round, there is a real opportunity for a team to have a memorable cup run.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are sitting seventh in the league table and in the hunt for European football, but winning a trophy would be an incredible feat.

They should name a full-strength team at the weekend to try and overcome an in-form Bristol City team on the road.

Bristol City have won their last nine consecutive fixtures across all competitions and have moved up to the play-off positions in the Championship.

They are the in-form team in the country right now and will be eyeing an upset at Ashton Gate.

Wolves can’t afford to take risks in the cup and that is why Nuno shouldn’t make the mistake of leaving out talisman Raul Jimenez.

The 27-year-old Mexico international has been a goal machine since his loan switch to Molineux, scoring 11 goals and supplying six assists in 29 games across all competitions.

His presence at the point of attack has been crucial to Wolves’ success and including him in the starting XI will give them a great chance of progressing in the cup.

Nuno can’t afford to take the risk of withdrawing their star man, as a cup exit could upset fans if he rests the best players.
