Wolves fans react on Twitter as Newcastle eye Conor Coady
A number of Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to comment on that Newcastle United want Conor Coady.
There is a huge amount of anticipation heading into the first transfer window of a new era at St James’ Park.

The Magpies have already been linked with a raft of names, both in the Premier League and across the rest of Europe.
And one of the latest to be linked with a move is Coady, that Newcastle want the 28-year-old in January.
The report notes that Wolves will demand at least £20 million for their captain. Coady meanwhile, recently suggested that the takeover was brilliant for Newcastle.

Interestingly, a lot of the reaction to the reports on social media appears to be extremely mixed.
Some have insisted that he must not be sold. He has been a legendary figure at Molineux for a number of years, helping take Wolves from the Championship to the Premier League, and into Europe.
And replacing him and the influence he has at the club would be nearly impossible.
However, some would be open to a sale. In fact, there are several fans who believe that Wolves may actually be better off if they cash in.
‘No way’: Wolves fans react as Newcastle eye Coady
Selling Coady would leave Bruno Lage with greater scope to switch to a back four. And that would potentially lead to the side making an improvement.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Wolves fans make of the reports linking Newcastle with a move for Coady…
I love Coady, great servant and captain but this would be excellent transfer business. You have to think of what Lage is trying to setup and he wants a 4, but knows he doesn’t have the players. With AFCON, I can’t see it happening.

Why are fans saying sell him yes club want to go in a certain direction but what he brings on and off the pitch is irreplaceable with his leadership.

I know people don’t love him in the side and he has his faults of course, but he’s a great leader and we need him around our club. Good business yes, good for the club? No. I also don’t see him wanting the move at all.

Newcastle are loaded now so we take advantage of that if they want him the have to pay richest club in the world tax so he’s theirs for 50m

There is no way I would sell for just £20m. I know he is a yard or two short of pace and probably not physical enough for a top six defender, but £20m is rubbish when you consider what a replacement would cost. £30-40m then maybe, but a bigger loss then most will understand.

He won’t leave Wolves, unless he thinks his place in the starting line up is under threat. He’s the Captain & enjoys his life in the area.

For 20m I’d carry him there.

Try 80m
