Wolves fans hail Dendoncker’s performance in rare start against Liverpool
While Liverpool made nine changes for their FA Cup third round trip to Molineux last night, Nuno Santo quite rightly played a strong side.
The Old Gold are not in danger of being relegated back to the Championship and did exactly what a mid-table side should do; fielded a largely first-choice side to give themselves the best possible chance of progression.
Santo’s side have done exceptionally well against the top sides so far this season and Jurgen Klopp’s heavily rotated team selection offered him even more hope of securing a victory.
That was how it proved as goals from Raul Jimenez and Ruben Neves put the Reds to the sword with a 2-1 victory.

There was a rare start for Leander Dendoncker, who arrived at Molineux with a big reputation but has failed to feature with any degree of regularity thus far.
But Wolves fans were treated to a glimpse of the Anderlecht loanee and liked what they saw; they were forthcoming with their praise of the midfielder and want to see more judging from the responses on Twitter…

Rusty but quality is there

Didn't look like a player who'd been sparingly used did he?! Though he looked confident and his passing under pressure was superb at times. Nice to see a bit more of him and happy with how he played, promising!

I think he did well, wouldn't want to see him go

Very good game, only 23 could be top class 🐺
