Wolverhampton Wanderers fans want Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho this summer
Having completed the deal for Sporting Lisbon’s veteran goalkeeper Rui Patricio, the pallet of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are wet knowing that numerous stars are readily available from the Portuguese giants. Fans are now pleading for an audacious swoop for Portugal international William Carvalho.
The recently promoted side announced on Monday that the goalkeeper with more than 70 international caps would be joining up at the Molineux Stadium, after terminating his contract with Sporting – having been attacked by a mob of supporters at the training ground, after failing to secure Champions League qualification late in the season, .

Carvalho is one of the remaining seven players – also including Gelson Martins – to have expressed their desire to leave the Primeira Liga, and fans are asserting that Wolves should make an offer to bring the 26-year-old enforcer on-board.
Here’s the reaction on Twitter:

I’d love to negotiate a deal for William Carvalho. I think him and Neves could propel the side towards the higher end of the table.

Nuno Espirito Santo has begun something of a Portuguese revolution at Wolves, and it’s feasible Carvalho could be on his radar given the current circumstances.
The acquisition of Ruben Neves was vital in securing promotion from the Championship, and now the manager could be on the look out for Portuguese talent to ensure the club are well equipped for England’s top flight and Carvalho certainly comes under that bracket, having been linked with moves to England last summer.
