‘Wilshere reborn’: Arsenal fans react to Charlie Patino’s under-23’s display
Arsenal fans were buzzing last night as 17-year-old whizzkid, Charlie Patino, got himself on the scoresheet for the under-23s.
It was only Patino’s second appearance for the young Gunners, who scraped a 2-2 draw with London rivals Chelsea, thanks to Patino’s late deflected effort on Friday evening.
In a strong under-23 line up containing the likes of Reiss Nelson and Folarin Balogun, it was Patino, along with a few other relatively unknown prospects, who stood out that bit more. Although, in fairness, Nelson did get himself on the scoresheet, too.

But Patino is a name who continues to excite fans at The Emirates. His swift move up the ranks into the under-23 set up has caused quite the stir and he’s even been around first-team training this term.
As expected, there was plenty of praise for Patino on Twitter last night, as some Arsenal fans took the time to single out the youngster.
Needs to travel to the Pre Season the summer.
