William Saliba names who his favourite teammate at Arsenal is now

William Saliba is one of Arsenal’s very best players.

Indeed, Saliba is the best defender in the world in the eyes of some, and Arsenal’s incredible defensive record is largely down to the Frenchman.

Of course though, any centre-back is only as good as the players around him, and Saliba has formed some great partnerships in this Arsenal team.

William Saliba loves playing with Ben White, while Saliba has also said he loves working with Bukayo Saka.

However, speaking to TNT Sports, William Saliba has now named another Arsenal ace as his favourite teammate.

Saliba named Gabriel Magalhaes as his favourite teammate at Arsenal.

Saliba and Gabriel have been hailed for their partnership in recent years, and the defender says he has a great understanding with the Brazilian.

“I want to focus on your relationship with Gabriel, it feels like you two are best friends. Your dynamic is very strong, is he your favourite player to play alongside?” Saliba was asked.

“For sure, since the first day I came here we played a lot of games together. We know each other well, he knows what I’m good at, I know what he’s good at. We work well together and we are friends outside the pitch as well,” Saliba said.

Gabriel and Saliba are one of the most fearsome partnerships in the Premier League.

The two centre-backs form the spine of this Arsenal team, and the Gunners’ stats when these two are on the same pitch are remarkable.

Arsenal are at their best when both Saliba and Gabriel are fit and firing, but, unfortunately for Arsenal, we may not see this partnership for a little while now.

Indeed, Gabriel picked up an injury against Fulham this week, and the centre-back is now set for a prolonged period on the sidelines.

Gabriel could well miss the rest of this season, and Saliba is going to be without his favourite teammate for this portion of the season, and crucially, the upcoming game against Real Madrid.
