Declan Rice sends message to Pablo Fornals after he leaves West Ham United
Pablo Fornals joined West Ham United from Villarreal back in the summer of 2019.
The Spaniard played over 200 times for the Irons and was appreciated by the fans. He was a popular member inside the dressing room as well.
Fornals fell down the pecking order at West Ham this season, starting just four games in the Premier League – two of those came in January.
Real Betis came in with an offer to bring him back to Spain, and despite a late twist, the deal was sealed yesterday evening.
Fornals bid an emotional goodbye to West Ham fans on the club’s social media handles, and his old pal Declan Rice sent him a message.
He wrote on his : “One of the best! Will never forget your goal in Alkmaar.
“It was a pleasure playing with you. All the best Pablitoo.”

Looking back at that Pablo Fornals goal vs AZ Alkmaar
Pablo Fornals didn’t have the easiest campaign last season, but he managed to produce a truly memorable moment for West Ham United fans.
In the semi-final of the Conference League, right at the end of the game against AZ Alkmaar, West Ham were holding onto their one-goal lead from the first leg.
They needed someone to seal the deal, and Fornals, after coming on as a substitute, managed to score a wonderful goal from outside the box to send the Hammers through to the final.
As Declan Rice said above, everybody who saw Fornals’ strike that night will never forget it.
