Will Everton start Yerry Mina or Kurt Zouma against Cardiff?

Everton host Cardiff City on Saturday as Premier League football resumes and manager Marco Silva has a selection dilemma ahead of him.

The Toffees boss must decide whether to stick with Kurt Zouma after his consistent form in defence this season, or twist with Yerry Mina following an impressive full debut against Chelsea.

It’s a good decision to have, but it will intriguing to see who partners in-form Michael Keane at centre-back.

Zouma, 24, has been the regular partner alongside Keane at the heart of defence this season and looked comfortable at Goodison Park since his arrival on loan from Chelsea in the summer.

That opened the door for Mina to get his first Everton start and he’s had to be patient since his switch from Goodison Park.

The 24-year-old Colombia international helped Everton to a goalless draw away at Stamford Bridge and his arrival in the summer was greeted as brilliant news by supporters.

Mina is the long-term option for Silva given the fact he joined on a permanent basis, but it would be harsh to leave out Zouma against Cardiff due to the fact he’s been solid in defence.
