Wilfried Gnonto features in Leeds training video as he awaits debut
Leeds United may not have a game this weekend, but the club have still posted a video from the training ground on – and there is a very brief sighting of deadline day signing Wilfried Gnonto.
Gnonto arrived at Elland Road at the end of a truly chaotic final day of the window for the Whites.

There is absolutely no question that Gnonto is an exciting talent. Jesse Marsch said before his move that Leeds think ‘‘ of the Italy international.
However, he also acknowledged that there is a feeling that Gnonto is not quite ready for the Premier League just yet. And with that, fans were left underwhelmed when the club failed to sign a more established forward before the deadline passed.

The clash with Brentford came too soon for the teenager to be involved. And there was no sign of the youngster in the the club posted ahead of that particular game.
But it does seem that Marsch has now got Gnonto involved ahead of the international break. There is a brief glimpse of the forward in the latest training video , about 16 seconds in behind Robin Koch and Pascal Struijk.

Gnonto features in training video
Of course, Gnonto being in first-team training is not a huge shock. Marsch has tended to follow in Marcelo Bielsa’s footsteps by including many of the club’s best youngsters in his sessions.
But it is an encouraging sign regarding how close he may well be to making that first-team debut.
He is not yet the finished article. But, just like Joe Gelhardt, some of his attributes will get fans out of their seats. So if he does get a chance, he would have the potential to make a real impact.
Leeds’ long break between games is not ideal for some. But it does give Marsch a further chance to really work with his players. And supporters have seen what kind of potential they could have when it all clicks.
Depending on what the next couple of weeks hold for Gnonto, he could be one player who really benefits from Leeds not having a first-team game this weekend.
