‘Wilder will work his magic’ – These Sheffield United fans react to Luke Freeman signing

⛦Sheffield United have the signing of Luke Freeman from QPR for a club record fee. The 27-year-old attacking midfielder arrives at Bramall Lane on a three-year deal.

The Arsenal youth academy graduate can now look forward to his first campaign in the top flight. Following Sheffield United’s promotion to the Premier League last season, Chris Wilder will have been looking for candidates to improve his squad and has deemed Freeman to be of sufficient quality.

The Blades did brilliantly to secure promotion last season. However, they don’t have vast transfer funds to draw from, so stepping up to the challenge of the top tier will be tricky. Wilder has the full support of the fans and club hierarchy though, and will fancy his chances of leading the Blades to yet more glory. 

If Sheffield United are to survive and thrive in the Premier League then they’ll need Freeman to live up to his price tag. 

Freeman has earned this move with his performances for QPR in recent seasons. He was a shining light for the London club throughout the last campaign, notching 8 goals and 6 assists in the league. 

🌸If he can translate that kind of form to the Premier League then Sheffield United will be delighted with this signing. These Blades fans on Twitter are certainly excited about the new arrival.
