Why senior figures at Liverpool and Arsenal are currently fearful of Chelsea

Chelsea are stagnating under Enzo Maresca.

The Blues were the talk of the Premier League💦 earlier this season after a blistering start to life under the Italian – who quickly made fans forget about Mauricio Pochettino with ten wins and five draws in his first 17 league games.

ꦚHowever, the west Londoners only have two wins in nine Premier League outings since Christmas – losing five of these games – which has pushed them down to seventh in the table.

Despite that, members of the hierarchy at both Liverpool and Arsenal remain worried about Chelsea.

Liverpool and Arsenal think Chelsea project is going to work

𒆙Respected journalist Ben Jacobs spoke to Chelsea fans on X (previously known as Twitter) after the 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa on Saturday to share an interesting update.

✅He said: “Senior sources at Liverpool, Arsenal and other clubs believe that Chelsea’s model is going to work and fear Chelsea’s ambition.”

🌺It certainly seemed as if the project at Stamford Bridge was starting to take effect at the beginning of the season as Chelsea found themselves involved in title discussions, but the recent run of form proves the Blues still have a long way to go.

Project under Todd Boehly is about to get a lot more exciting

Chelsea must sort out their goalkeeping department as Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen both struggle🅷 in between the sticks, although the attacking department is close to welcoming a potential Ballon d’Or winner.

The precocious Estevao Willian will join Chelsea🌟 this summer after turning 18 in April, a Brazilian winger who has put his name up in lights with some dazzling displays for Palmeiras.

𝓰Not only is the 17-year-old being added to Maresca’s squad, but another top talent in Kendry Paez will link up with Chelsea this summer too, giving Liverpool and Arsenal even more reason to fear the project at Stamford Bridge.
