Why Daniel Munoz will miss both games against Arsenal for Crystal Palace this week
Daniel Munoz is a key man for Crystal Palace.
The Colombia international has scored two goals in his last three Premier League appearances for the Eagles from his right wing-back role, also netting a third on Sunday against Brighton before Michael Oliver disallowed it for a foul in the build-up.
Munoz cost just £7m in a move from KRC Genk back in January – and Oliver Glasner is surely delighted to have the South American in SE25 – although Crystal Palace will unfortunately be without the Colombian for both games against Arsenal this week.
Daniel Munoz picks up two separate suspensions
As you may know, players who receive a total of five yellow cards in their first 19 matches of a Premier League campaign will be given a one-game ban.
Munoz picked up his fifth yellow card during Sunday’s 3-1 win at Brighton, meaning he is suspended for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Arsenal at Selhurst Park.

However, the Crystal Palace No.12 will also miss the Carabao Cup quarter-final at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
That is because Munoz already has two yellow cards in the Carabao Cup this season, which the English Football League (EFL) have made their threshold for bookings before a one-match ban occurs.
Caleb Kporha could get a chance at Crystal Palace
Glasner doesn’t really have another player who brings as much energy to the side as Munoz does on the right flank.
Nathaniel Clyne, who nudged Jean-Philippe Mateta to goad Brighton fans, is an option, although the Austrian has used the south Londoner as a centre-back more often than a right-back since replacing Roy Hodgson, as his pace begins to disappear at 33.
Therefore, we believe Caleb Kporha – who Glasner handed a Premier League debut to against Fulham in November – could be given the nod, as he offers greater athleticism and attacking intent down that flank.

The 18-year-old has one goal in three Premier League 2 appearances this season, and has proven to be a real livewire in the academy.
Therefore, it would not surprise us to see Glasner hand the teenager his full debut for Crystal Palace on Wednesday in the absence of Munoz.
