Arsenal are ‘holding off’ on signing Aaron Ramsdale to Southampton paperwork

TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has revealed the latest on Arsenal’s sale of Ramsdale to Southampton.

The Englishman’s future has been up in the air all summ꧅er after he lost his place under Mikel Arteta in September 2023. The Gunners boss chose David Raya over him.

After Raya’s loan move was officially made permanent in July, it became clear that there w🍷as no way back for Ra꧑msdale to become the club’s number one.

The 26-year-old has been linked with🎃 a number of clubs over the last few weeks, and there were many ♏twists in the tale.

But, Southampton finally agreed a deal ๊with Arsenal for Ramsdale, and th🔴e goalkeeper has already undergone a medical ahead of a potential🌼 move.

However, Arsenal haven’t signed the final paperwork yet for one reason. They a💎ren’t ready to sanction Ramsdale’s sale before🎃 they sign a replacement.

Crook said: “Arsenal in tﷺalks with Bournemouth over a loan move for goalkeeper Neto.

“The Gunners are holding off on signing Aaron Ramsdale paperwork for his Southampton move until they have secured their replacement.”

The latest on Arsenal, Neto and Joan Garcia

It is clear that 🧔Arsen🌱al want to sign a new goalkeeper before the window shuts.

The Gunners have been linked with several names, but as things stand, it looks like the two leading names are Bournemouth’s Neto and Espanyol’s Joan Garcia.

Neto is on his way to London for his Ar♑senal medical after the Gunners agreed a deal to sign him, but his arrival is dependent oᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚn one thing.

Arsenal will make a third attempt to sign Garcia on Friday morning. Neto will only be an option if Espanyol decide to turn down the Gunners’ offer again for their Spanish go﷽alkeeper.
