Who was your MOTM in Manchester City’s 3-0 win over Southampton?

With the title now out of reach, Manchester City have set their sights on claiming a top four spot. Pep Guardiola’s side kicked off in Saturday’s evening fixture against Southampton knowing that Tottenham and Everton had already picked up three points with victories over Bournemouth and Burnley respectively. The rest of City’s top four rivals play on Sunday and Monday.

Guardiola named a strong line-up against the Saints, with Claude Puel doing so as well. However, both sides started slowly with Claudio Bravo and Fraser Forster enjoying quiet first halves. The only talking point was a potential penalty shout for City as Leroy Sane was felled by the Saints’ keeper.

In the second half, City’s class came to the fore. Vincent Kompany broke the deadlock as he beat Maya Yoshida in the air to nod in a corner, then Sane finished off a swift counter-attack to double the visitor’s advantage. Sergio Aguero topped off a solid afternoon for City by putting them three goals to the good before the final whistle.

Guardiola’s side now await their rival’s weekend results, but first, who was your man of the match in City’s 3-0 win against Southampton?
