Who was your MOTM as Manchester United beat league leaders Chelsea?

With second-place Tottenham claiming three point🅠s by beating Bournemouth 4-0, league leaders Chelsea had the chance to reinstate their seven-point edge with a win at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

Antonio Conte used all his key players with Eden Hazard, Pedro and Diego Costa leading the line in their imp🌌ressive 3-4-3 formation. Jose Mourinho opted for a 4-3-3 initially but the Portuguese manager used a variety of tactical ploys to unsettle his former employees.

Switching from a 4-3-3 to a -4-4-2 while using Ander Herrera to man-mark Hazard out of the game, Mourinho’s side took the lead early on as Marcus Rashford slotted the ball past deputy goalkeeper Asmir Begovic. The build-up to the goal was controversial, however, as a pass by Nemanja Matic hit Herrera’s hand before the Spaniard set Rashford throꩵugh on goal.

All through༒out the game United restricted Chelsea superbly and they were two up early in the ⛄second-half as Herrera’s shot deflected off Kurt Zouma and ended up in the back of the net.

Mourinho’s side went on to claim a vital win to keep t𝄹hem in the race for top four while Chelsea begin to look nervously over their shoulder at a resurgent Tottenham side.
