Who are the bookies’ favourites to replace Slaven Bilic at West Ham?

Eddie Howe – 8/1

Second on the list is Eddie Howe, who is considered much less likely to join the Hammers, at 8/1. The current Bournemouth manager becomes linked with almost any job that becomes available and has regularly been touted as a future England manager, or potential long-term replacement for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

For now, it seems likely that Howe will continue to build on the South coast. Despite a mid-season dip in form that brought talk of a relegation battle, the Cherries appear set to achieve their highest ever top-flight finish. Narrowly missing out on the top half would be another vast over-performance considering the club’s size and small stadium capacity.

It would be no surprise if West Ham did approach the most sought after, young manager, in English football, but the move would be a risk for the 39-year-old. Instead, he can continue to build his reputation at Bournemouth and wait for a more consistent club to show interest.
