Who are the BBC and ITV pundits for Euro 2024? Full list includes Premier League legends, England favourites and four current managers

The full list of pundits for ITV’s and BBC’s upcoming coverage of the 2024 Euros in Germany.

The 2024 Euros is finally about to start after months of anticipation. Fans can look forward to a month’s worth of footballing action which will be broadcast live to their homes. 

ITV and the BBC will be the main source of coverage for any UK fan that is looking to watch the games live.

However, both broadcasts will rely on a different set of experts to analyse each match as it happens.

In this article, TBR Football has listed every pundit for ITV and the BBC scheduled for Euro 2024.

BBC pundits for Euro 2024

For Euro 2024, BBC will have 12 different pundits from a range of different backgrounds. The broadcaster boasts both England men and women legends as well as plenty of managers giving expert analysis on all the tournament’s games.

Wayne Rooney

The Manchester United and England legend is the first pundit set to be on the BBC this summer. During his playing career, he oversaw multiple feats such as becoming the Red Devils’ all-time top scorer. This helped him win several trophies including the Premier League and the Champions League.

Since his retirement, Wayne Rooney has been the manager of multiple clubs and has recently taken charge of Championship side Plymouth Argyle.

Rio Ferdinand

Like Rooney, Rio Ferdinand had a glittering career playing mainly for Manchester United. The defender was once the most expensive British player in history after his move from Leeds United

Since his retirement, Ferdinand has mainly worked as a pundit across multiple platforms but mainly TNT Sports.

Joe Hart

The former England number one is another player who has plenty of international experience. After leaving Man City permanently in 2018, the goalkeeper played for both Burnley and Spurs before joining Celtic. 

In May 2024, Hart played his last professional match before he hung up his boots. He helped Celtic lift the Scottish Cup against Rangers in a 1-0 win.

Ellen White

Ellen White is the record goalscorer for the England women’s national team. Throughout her glittering career, the forward won numerous trophies, mainly at Arsenal and Man City. 

However, her career high was when she won the 2022 Euros with England at Wembley after a 2-1 victory over Germany in the final.

Frank Lampard

Another player who is a household name, Frank Lampard had a glittering playing career. At Chelsea for the majority of the time he was on the pitch, the midfielder won multiple honours both on and off the field. 

Like Rooney, Lampard has attempted to get into management but has yet to find a new club after he left Chelsea at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Micah Richards

Micah Richards has been commonly seen in the pundit gantry since his retirement. The defender burst onto the scene at Man City but he ended his playing career at 31 years old after a sub-par end.

Richards can now be seen as a pundit on Sky Sports, BBC and CBS.

Ashley Williams

A player has recently impressed at a European Championships, Ashley Williams has now hung up his boots on his playing career.

The Welsh centre-back captained his country to the semi-finals of the 2016 Euros in France before they were defeated by Portugal.

The Scottish manager will also be helping to add insight to the BBC’s Euro 2024 coverage. David Moyes left West Ham at the end of the 2023/24 campaign after overseeing four-and-a-half-years in his second spell. 

This saw the London side become European regulars and lift the Europa Conference League.

Rachel Corsie

Rachel Corsie is the Scottish women’s national team captain. Throughout her playing career, she has made a total of 152 caps for the Tartan Army, scoring 20 times.

Now at 34 years of age, the centre-back is still playing football for WSL side Aston Villa.

James McFadden

Former Scottish international James McFadden had a fairly successful career in England and Scotland before he retired in 2018. The majority of his time was spent at Everton, whom he played for across two different spells. 

Cesc Fabregas

The first male player to win the Euros on this list, Cesc Fabregas is a highly decorated footballer. Success followed the midfielder wherever he went and this included his international career.

For Spain, Fabregas won both the 2008 and 2012 Euros as well as the 2010 World Cup.

Since retiring in 2023, he became part of the coaching staff at Italian side Como and helped them win promotion to the Serie A during the 2023/24 season.

Thomas Frank

The Brentford manager is the final pundit that has made BBC’s list for Euro 2024. Thomas Frank has been in charge of the Bees since 2018 and oversaw their promotion into the Premier League for the first time. 

ITV pundits for Euro 2024

For Euro 2024, ITV will have nine different pundits from a range of different backgrounds. The broadcaster boasts both England men and women legends as well as plenty of managers giving expert analysis on all the tournament’s games.

Ian Wright

The former Arsenal and England striker is the first pundit to make ITV’s list. After a successful playing career, Ian Wright moved into punditry where he has been a regular on BBC’s Match of the Day.

For this tournament, ITV have managed to secure Wright’s insight for their upcoming games.

Karen Carney

Karen Carney is another familiar face in the pundit gantry since her retirement. The former midfielder had an excellent career, earning 144 caps for England as she represented her country in eight separate tournaments.

Carney is now commonly seen on multiple media outlets such as the BBC, Sky Sports, ITV and Amazon Prime.

Roy Keane

Another exceptional player who had a highly successful career, Roy Keane is one of the best Premier League captains in history. The midfielder led Manchester United to countless trophies before he eventually retired at Celtic.

The Irishman is now a regular pundit on Sky Sports. However, for the Euros, ITV has acquired his insight.

Gary Neville

Like Keane, Neville managed to win countless amounts of trophies at Man United. The right-back was part of the ‘class of 92’ which helped oversee a dominant period in English football for the Red Devils.

Neville is now mainly seen on Sky Sports as one of their top pundits and will be part of ITV’s team this summer.

Eniola Aluko

Throughout her playing career, Eniola Aluko managed to win major trophies in both England and Italy. Her success saw her regularly picked for England, earning her 102 caps across a 13-year period where she scored 33 times.

Graeme Souness

Graeme Souness enjoyed a fantastic career as both a player and a manager. Mainly at Liverpool, the Scotsman won plenty of trophies including three European Cups during his spell. 

Since leaving his managerial career behind in 2006, he has become a regular pundit on Sky Sports alongside Neville and Keane.

Danny Rohl

The first current manager on ITV’s list, Danny Rohl has been in charge of Championship side Sheffield Wednesday since October 2023. Here, the German managed to keep the Owls up against all odds.

Christina Unkel

Adding a different dimension to ITV’s summer coverage is Christina Unkel. Regularly featured on CBS, she is a referee rules analyst and will offer her analysis on the referee’s and VAR decisions throughout the tournament.

Ange Postecoglou

The final pundit of this list is Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou. The Australian enjoyed a good first season in England as he managed to return Spurs to European football once more.
