Whether Bayern Munich staff thinking Radu Dragusin will sign for them or Tottenham now
Journalist Florian Plettenberg has shared that the Bayern Munich hierarchy are now confident that they will be the ones to sign Radu Dragusin ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
Radu Dragusin has perhaps been at the centre of the first saga of the January transfer window. For some time, it appeared that the Romanian may be Spurs bound.
In fact, Dragusin’s agent was apparently flying into London this week to finalise a move to Tottenham. However, the Bundesliga side have looked to snatch the 21-year-old from Spurs’ grasp.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Bayern had made a late bid for Dragusin, but Tottenham remained confident of signing the centre-back from Genoa.

It was Gianluigi Longari who then reported that Dragusin’s preference was to move to Bayern. And there was optimism at the Allianz Arena that they would win the race.

Spurs have plenty of time to look elsewhere
The news would obviously represent a big blow for Tottenham. Dragusin is Ange Postecoglou’s top target for the centre-back position in a campaign which has seen both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero spent a significant period of time on the sidelines.
The slightly better news is that Tottenham do have plenty of time to pursue another deal. However, Spurs fans and that player will know that they were not the first-choice – if Dragusin ends up moving to Bayern.
You can understand why he may be tempted by the chance to join Tuchel’s side in the coming hours. Tottenham are still a work in progress right now.
But it may feel like a real sickener if Spurs do now miss out on signing the youngster given how keen they were to get a deal done.
