Where is coveted Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyan likely to end up this summer?
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe after plundering 120 goals in four seasons for Borussia Dortmund.
Those clubs looking to secure his signature have been given huge boost with the news that the Bundesliga outfit are prepared to allow the Gabon international to leave, provided their valuation is met.
That is according to a report in highly-respected french newspaper , which claims a fee of £61.5 million will be enough to persuade Dortmund to sell. But where is Aubameyang’s most likely destination?
Manchester City
According to bookmakers , City are the favourites to land Aubameyang this summer.
Manager, Pep Guardiola, has been linked with the 28-year-old for some time and has already shown his hand with the signings of Bernardo Silva and goalkeeper Ederson. City seem to have a bottomless pit of money and could comfortably afford Dortmund’s asking price.
Guardiola already has considerable firepower at his disposal, particularly in the form of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, but the arrival of Aubameyang would give him another world-class option up front and potentially facilitate the sale of Kalechi Iheanacho, who has been linked with an exit this summer.
Guardiola prefers to play one up front and has not always seen eye-to-eye with Augero, despite his phenomenal goals-per-game ratio. Aubameyang has scored goals wherever he has played and would thrive off the service provided by David Silva and Kevin de Bruyne.
Liverpool
Another club who appear to be in the market for a top-class sharpshooter are Liverpool, with doubts surrounding the future of Daniel Sturridge.
Of course, Jurgen Klopp worked with Aubameyang at Dortmund, where the two enjoyed a successful working relationship and there have been suggestions that he would be open to being reunited with his former boss.
Perhaps this explains why they are rated as 4/1 second favourites by .

Like City, Liverpool can offer Aubameyang Champions League football and a similar brand of play. Klopp is another manager who favours one up top, with his abundance of attacking midfielders also providing a real goal threat.
The big-money signing of Mohamed Salah shows that Liverpool mean business in this transfer window.
Anfield, which is steeped in history, could be an attractive proposition for Aubameyang, but whether Liverpool could offer the same financial package as City is questionable.
Paris Saint-Germain
Should Aubameyang not fancy plying his trade in the Premier League next season, then Paris would seem a feasible destination.
PSG, who are priced at 9/2 by to sign him, have become one of Europe’s biggest clubs in the past five years and, despite missing out on the Ligue 1 title to Monaco last season, they remain a force to be reckoned with.
The Paris outfit would not baulk at the asking price either and he would join a star-studded squad that features the likes of Thiago Silva, Marco Veratti and Edinson Cavani.
However, having shelled out a club record £55 million for Argentina forward Cavani in 2013, who is very much the main man in the French capital, there are doubts that Aubameyang would be a natural fit.
Would there really be room for him and Cavani in the starting XI?
