‘When I look’: Tim Sherwood shares who he’d rather manage now – Tottenham or Marseille
Tim Sherwood has told that he would rather manage Tottenham Hotspur over Marseille ahead of tonight’s clash.
Spurs need to pick up at least a draw in France to progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League. While Marseille need to take all three points if they are to progress to the last-16.
Antonio Conte’s men were denied qualification last week after Harry Kane’s last-minute ‘winner’ was controversially ruled by VAR against Sporting.
Ahead of tonight’s crucial game, former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood says he’d rather be in Conte’s dressing room in France.

Sherwood says he’d rather manage Tottenham than Marseille
, Sherwood has urged Spurs to go out with attacking intent from the very beginning of the game.
“It’s going to be tough. They [Tottenham] know it’s going to be a tough game – it’s a cup final, it boils down to this.
“If I had to manage one team, when I look at both groups of players I want to be in Tottenham’s dressing room. But I’d also want them to play on the front foot from the word go.
“If they start giving a goal start like they’ve done recently because they’re playing so defensive then they could come unstuck.
“They need to go for it. They need to get the ball early forward to [Heung-Min] Son and [Harry] Kane.
“They need to use their offensive players to really dominate this Marseille side. But it is the most competitive group in the Champions League and it would be a failure if they didn’t qualify for the knockout stages, it really would – having looked at the group when the draw came out.”

Sherwood enjoyed a short stint as Spurs boss at the old White Hart Lane during the 2013-14 campaign. He did reasonably well before he was replaced by Mauricio Pochettino.
Although Spurs fans will probably be relieved that Conte sits in the dugout these days and not Sherwood.
The Italian boss is currently serving a one-match ban in the Champions League due to his outburst after Kane’s goal was disallowed against Sporting.
The Spurs squad will be without Conte on the touchline tonight, with his assistant Cristian Stellini set to lead them out in France.
