What Wolves have told Gary O’Neil about Matheus Cunha as Man United and Tottenham circle ahead of January

Wolves are starting to find their feet in the Premier League this season.
After ten games without a win, the Old Gold have now secured two Premier League wins in a row after Gary O’Neil steered Wolves to a 2-ꩵ0 victory over Southampton, and then a comprehensive 4-1 win against Fulham.
The back-to-back wins have left Wolves 17th in the Premier League.

With momentum building, the January transfer window offers Wolves a chance to kick on by making some reinforcements, although it is also imperative that the Old Gold keeps their best players, such as Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri.

However, sources are now informing TBR Football that Wolves insist no key men will be sold in 💟the January transfer window, with those at Molineux committed to giving O’N🦋eil the best possible chance of avoiding relegation.
Wolves are aware of interest in Cunha – who Aston Villa are monitoring too – but they insist no🌞 sales will happ𒀰en in January.
What Wolves are planning to do themselves
Wolves are not only focused on fending others away from their sta🍒r players this winter, but Fosun also have plans to bolster the squad for O’Neil.
TBR Football understand Wolves are lo𒅌oking to sign at least one new central defender in January, after leaving themselves short in that department last summer through the sale of Max Kilman to West Ham.
Yerson Mosquera also suffered an injury which will sid𝓡eline hi🐻m for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign, so a new face in that area is certainly needed.
TBR Football have previously reported that Wolves could sign Eric Dier – after the England international fell 🉐𒁏out of favour under Vincent Kompany at Bayern Munich.
