West Ham United have just learned the full extent of Niclas Fullkrug’s hamstring injury and have put plans in place to combat the loss.

Fullkrug went off injured against Aston Villa in the FA Cup after pulling up in a lot of pain and clutching his hamstring in the first half.

The £27 million signing underwent scans with the East London on Saturday and now the Hammers know how long he will miss.

Graham Potter was already keen to land a striker and now Tim Steidten may have to accelerate that search for a new one immediately.

How long is Niclas Fullkrug out injured for?

have confirmed that Niclas Fullkrug has suffered a hamstring injury and will be sidelined for several weeks.

Meanwhile, Jack Rosser reports that the German striker will be sidelined for up to three months following scans that took place on Saturday.

The 31-year-old has struggled to break into the team following his move from Borussia Dortmund and he had just been putting a run of games together.

Crysencio Summerville was another player who suffered an injury, however, the winger’s issue is thought to be a lot less serious than his teammate’s.

West Ham are ready to respond to Fullkrug’s injury by bringing in a new striker, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Hammers will look to sign a new number nine within the next week ahead of games against Fulham and Crystal Palace.

West Ham have been linked with Evan Ferguson who could be available on loan this month having struggled for game time at Brighton.

TBR Football understands that West Ham have thrown their hat in the ring to sign Marcus Rashford in a loan deal from Manchester United.

The East London club are willing to offer the Manchester United winger regular first-team football, although they will face fierce competition for his signature.
