What Virgil van Dijk’s camp have told interested clubs about his Liverpool future

Although Liverpool are enjoying a brilliant start to the season under Arne Slot, there’s been an elephant in the room at Anfield, well three of them to be precise.

All of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the🍨 season, three c𝔉rucial performers for Slot.

Although Liverpool failed to win at Newcastle United𒉰, both Salah and Alexander-Arnold were inspired on the right, with the latter even🦩 providing two assists as a substitute.

That being said, sources have confirmed to TBR Football that talks ꦅar🥂e continuing with the trio and Liverpool remain confident of successful outcomes.

Virgil van Dijk is not interested in leaving Liverpool

Liverpool have been locked in talks with all three of th𓃲eir star names whose contracts expire at the end of the season, and they stepped u🔜p their efforts during the recent international break.

Van Dijk’s new Liverpool deal is closest, and the player’s camp have now made it clear to potenti🐠al suitors that the defender is not thinking about leaving M🍷erseyside.

Tꦯhe🌳 Liverpool captain is confident that he will be staying beyond this season and the club hope that his deal will be finalised within the next month.

Mohamed Salah disappointed with Liverpool contract progress

In Salah’s case, the forward’s new deal is not expected to be res🌺olved in the same time✃ frame as Van Dijk.

However, the club are happy that talks are continu🅘ing wꦆhich they see as a real positive.

On the other hand, Salah and his representatives have been left disappointed with progress, which encouraged the Egyptian to speak publicly♛ about the absence of a contract offer.

Liverpool and the club’s hierarchy are insistent that they are happy with progress on Salah and if the player does not sign, i♈t will not be down to a lack of effort on their part.

Slot didn’t think Salah was at his best during the ꦚfirst half against Newcastle, but he’s clearly still a player that the club can’t afford to lo𓂃se, as demonstrated by his second 45 minutes.

In a similar scenario to Salah, club sources have confirmed that t🌳alks with Alexander-Arnold are ongoing too.

Although, 🐻Liverpool’s offer to Alexander-Arnold remains on the table and the main issue is whether the player wants to stay, an answer that he is yet to confirm.
