What Tottenham have done after agreeing Mathys Tel deal with Bayern Munich
Tottenham Hotspur have made Mathys Tel their top target in the final days of the winter window.
Spurs have lost Dominic Solanke to an injury and he isn’t expected to be back in action for another month. Richarlison is fit now, but his injury history doesn’t fill any fan with confidence.
To make things worse, Randal Kolo Muani rejected Tottenham and joined Juventus earlier in this month’s transfer window.
Spurs need a new forward now, and Tel is the man they want to sign.
Tottenham present their offer to Mathys Tel after agreement with Bayern Munich
Tel wasn’t initially expected to be available for a transfer in this window.
Everyone felt that the young Frenchman would stay at Bayern Munich until the end of the season, but that changed a few days ago.
Tottenham were immediately interested after finding out that Tel is ready to leave Munich, and Ange Postecoglou’s side made their move.
TBR Football confirmed on Thursday that Tottenham and Bayern Munich have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of Tel in the coming days.
However, the player is yet to decide which club he wants to join.
To convince him, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham presented their offer to Tel and the key factor in their proposal is regular game time for the young attacker.
Romano tweeted: “Tottenham have presented their project to Mathys Tel and his agent with game time as key factor.
“Spurs also had a direct meeting with Bayern to guarantee €60 million fee (£50m) in case Tel decides to accept. Mathys needs some time to decide… with several clubs keen and in talks.”

Tottenham have a big problem in Mathys Tel race
Tottenham are doing all the right things in the race to sign Tel.
Spurs were very quick to reach an agreement with Bayern over a fee for the attacker, which is excellent work considering that so many other teams are interested as well.
But, there is a problem.
Reports have revealed that Tel prefers a move to Manchester United over Tottenham in this window, which is terrible news if you’re a Spurs fan.
The last thing Tottenham supporters would want to see is Tel rejecting them for another club, just weeks after Kolo Muani did the same.
