What the Italian media are saying about Joao Felix’s Champions League exit with AC Milan as Chelsea loanee disappoints

Joao Felix and AC Milan were eliminated from the Champions League by Feyenoord and the Italian media have been discussing the Chelsea loanee’s performance.

🎃Milan took the lead after less than a minute as Santiago Gimenez scored against his former club, however, the Dutch side found a winning goal in the final 17 minutes of the tie.

Felix disappointed in the first leg and at the San Siro, the Chelsea♑ loanee was just as underwhelming with the Italian media delivering brutal verdicts on his display.

Italian media slam Joao Felix’s performance vs Feyenoord

The Italian media have slammed the performance of Joao Felix▨ against Feyenoord as the Portugese international failed to offer much of a threat.

AC Milanജ needed to win by two goals to advance in normal time but despite scoring early, Felix was part of the Italian giant’s toothless attack.

ꦉTheo Hernandez’s red card made things even harder for Milan and eventually, the Dutch champions found a winner.

🍨 gave Felix a 5.5/10 and wrote: “He spends the whole game roaming across Milan’s final third, as if he struggled to find his ideal position to link up with his side’s midfield and attack. Quite slow and predictable, failed to cause havoc to the visitors.”

🧔 offered a brutal review by giving him a 4.5/10: “Too nice and ineffective in key moments. In the first half, he had a good chance to double the score but failed to hit the target. Ok in the second half but a question arises: is he needed?”

𝓀It was 5/10 from : “Trying to be too clever when shooting when it isn’t needed. He should have shot on goal on two occasions but tried to touch it down. Not at the races.”

﷽Felix was played in the number ten role, however, he struggled to make things happen and finished with an xA of just 0.04.

🐻The 25-year-old also lost possession on 18 occasions throughout the match highlighting just how poor he was at the San Siro.

Milan have no option or obliagtion to buy Felix🍬 and at this stage, the forward is set to return to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
