What sources are saying about the future of Atalanta’s Ederson amid Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle interest

TBR Football can exclusively confirm the latest on the future of Atalanta star Ederson amid interest with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle United.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle United are all set to be busy in the summer transfer window in pursuit of reinforcements which will hopefully lead to more fruitful seasons next term.

Man United have struggled in the Premier League, while Man City haven’t been anywhere near their best this season, and Newcastle will want to kick on after their Carabao Cup win.

All three have an interest in Ederson, who has been impressing for Atalanta in recent years, and TBR Football can confirm what his camp has been doing ahead of the summer window.

Ederson camp informs Premier League clubs of player’s desire for summer move

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Ederson’s camp has been in touch with a number of Premier League clubs.

They have let clubs know of Ederson’s intention to leave Atalanta this summer amid long-term interest from Man United, Man City and Newcastle, all of whom still like him.

“Ederson’s on a lot of Premier League clubs’ shortlists,” Bailey told TBR Football – however, there is nothing concrete with any of those clubs at present.

Liverpool are also being kept informed about Ederson’s situation, but as they’re well stocked in defensive midfield, such a move would not be likely, according to TBR Football sources.

What Ederson could bring to the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle

Earlier this year, South American football expert Tim Vickery suggested that Ederson would be a good shout for Newcastle.

Vickery sung his praises and suggested that the £50million-rated Ederson is similar to Magpies star Bruno Guimaraes.

“He’s a strong, well-built central midfielder,” Vickery said. “He’s strong on the ball, versatile, box-to-box and has a strong personality as well.

“The first thing I remember about him is his professional debut for Cruzeiro, who were really on the slide at the time.

“They were relegated in dreadful form but even in that bad context, he stood out.

“So, a lot of virtues and I just wonder if all these virtues may remind you of another Brazilian already wearing the shirt of Newcastle.”

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano recently said on that Man United feel Ederson’s style of play would be “perfect” for Amorim because of his energy and intensity.
