Report: What Sadio Mane was shouting as Liverpool waited to lift the League Cup at Wembley

Liverpool won the League Cup at Wembley yesterday as they held their nerve in a brilliant penalty shootout win in which the Reds didn’t miss a single kick.

Chelsea stopper Kepa was the man to finally end the scoring run for both teams. The Spaniard fired well into the Liverpool fans to hand the trophy to Jurgen Klopp’s side, who remain on course to challenge for every competition this season.

Of course, as 0-0 draws go, this was one of the very best. It had a bit of everything and there was plenty to digest for pundits and fans after the game. Indeed, one of the talking points during the game was Sadio Mane’s reaction to being subbed. The Liverpool forward was clearly unhappy, and he marched straight to the bench visibly annoyed.

Mane Revs Liverpool Teammates Up

But while Mane might have been angry at that point, come full-time, there was no sign of discontent. Per a report from the , Mane is said to have been one of the most eager to collect his medal. In fact, it’s reported he was shouting ‘Let’s do this!!’ to his teammates as they got ready to climb the Wembley steps.

As the Mail reports, Mane’s passion for winning was clear. James Milner was also said to be keen to gee his teammates up as well, as the Reds look to continue breeding that winning mentality.

Certainly, Klopp’s men are getting there. The squad contains some serial winners like the imperious Virgil van Dijk.

Clearly, then, Mane’s frustrations in the game come from a strong will to just win and contribute. And on the whole, that’s never going to be a bad thing.
