What Sadio Mane really feels about the Saudi Pro League amid claims that they want to sign Mohamed Salah from Liverpool
Sadio Mane’s career choices have been interesting, to say the least, since he left Liverpool in the summer of 2022.
The Senegalese winger won the lot under Jurgen Klopp and is widely regarded as one of the best players in Liverpool’s recent history.
Mane joined Bayern Munich in 2022 but swapped Germany for Saudi Arabia a year later as he joined Al-Nassr last summer after a lukewarm spell with the Bundesliga giants.
The 32-year-old is enjoying the twilight years of his career away from the spotlight, with his former Liverpool teammates Fabinho, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum all plying their trades in Saudi Arabia currently.
There have also been reports that Mohamed Salah has keen admirers in Saudi as his Liverpool contract winds down at the end of the current season.
And Mane has revealed what it’s really like to play football in the Middle East as his former teammate continues to be linked with a move to the SPL.
Ex-Liverpool man Sadio Mane talks up Saudi Pro League amid Mohamed Salah speculation

Salah has less than a year left on his current deal and hasn’t been contacted by the club over an extension, by his own admission.
Judging the situation from the outside, it looks like the two parties could mutually separate at the end of the season, which would allow Saudi Pro League clubs to snap up Salah on a free transfer.
Mane feels the SPL has steadily grown in stature over the years as he spoke about just how competitive teams have become due to the rich influx of talent.
“You can see it, the level is impressive now,” said Mane via .
“I’d even say it’s been since last year, but especially this year, too, as every team has strengthened in level.

“I also think it’s good for the league and will give more competitiveness and, of course, it’s what football fans expect, so it’s beneficial for the championship.”
Salah still far too good for Saudi
The lure of moving to the Middle East will undoubtedly appeal to Salah as he is the most high-profile Arab footballer in the world, but in terms of sporting ambitions, he is still too good to ditch Europe for Saudi.
The 32-year-old has shown no signs of slowing down and has already notched up six goals and five assists this season under new manager Arne Slot.
That said, Liverpool need to stop haggling and sort out a new deal for their star man as they run the risk of losing him for nothing a few months down the line.
