What Richarlison could do about his future at Tottenham if Ange Postecoglou actually gets sacked

TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Richarlison has made some key decisions about his future at Tottenham Hotspur as the Brazilian international has been linked with a possible exit for months.

Tottenham are ready to sell Richarlison in the summer as his time at the club has been marred by a lack of consistent minutes, injuries and a failure to nail down a position.

However, the ball remains in the former Everton forward’s court as his contract at Tottenham runs out in 2027.

But Richarlison could decide whether to stay or leave Tottenham depending on Ange Postecoglou’s future.

Richarlison could wait to decide Tottenham future if Ange Postecoglou gets sacked

Graeme BaileyTBR Football’s chief correspondent has been informed that Richarlison could wait until the summer to decide whether his future lies at Tottenham — as Ange Postecoglou’s likely sacking could make him stay due to the possibility of a new manager being keen to work with him.

Despite his struggles in a Tottenham shirt, Everton remain keen on re-signing Richarlison but any potential transfer will only be a loan deal due to the wages he banks while playing for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

From the Lilywhites’ point of view, they are only willing to offload the 27-year-old permanently to recoup the fee they paid to sign him in 2022 — whose primary objective is to lead the line for Brazil at the World Cup next year.

Richarlison’s stock has plummeted at Tottenham but even so, the Saudi Pro League were interested in signing him last summer and have not given up in their pursuit for the versatile attacker’s signature.

Ange Postecoglou will be frustrated by Richarlison’s availability in particular, as he started a mere 27 games in total across almost two seasons under him, notching up an impressive tally of 16 and five assists.

How Daniel Levy will decide Ange Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham

Daniel Levy will determine Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham not solely based on whether Spurs win the Europa League — a decision that could have a huge bearing on whether Richarlison remains in N17.

Journalist Ian Ladyman recently revealed: “So Man United and Tottenham both have a strong interest in that for obvious reasons. I’m told by someone at Tottenham that, no matter what happens in the Europa League, that will not be what makes Daniel Levy’s his mind up for him.”

“So it won’t be a [Erik] Ten Hag situation like it was after the FA Cup, when ten Hag won the FA Cup out of nowhere against Manchester City. And all of a sudden, because they couldn’t find a replacement and because there was a bit of a groundswell of support from supporters, and because they got carried away by the glory of winning the FA Cup, Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS decided to keep ten Hag and they’ve subsequently admitted publicly that was a mistake. Don’t think Tottenham are going to do that.”
