What Raheem Sterling’s family are thinking after he’s linked with Arsenal move
Raheem Sterling is at the centre of a transfer storm on deadline day.
The winger has no future at Chelsea under Enzo Maresca, and he needs a move away from Stamford Bridge on deadline day.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with Sterling, and the Gunners may have a chance of getting this deal done.
Indeed, according to Rob Wotton, speaking on (30/8/24 10:43AM), Sterling’s family are settled in London, and that may give Arsenal an edge in this race.

Raheem Sterling’s family settled in London
Wotton shared what he knows about Sterling and his situation.
“Ok, let’s bring you this. It looks like Raheem Sterling will stay at Chelsea or move to Arsenal today. There’s just as much chance of him staying as leaving. His future will depend on how talks develop today.” Wotton said.
“What we’re hearing is that Sterling’s family are settled in London. He wants to play regularly in the Premier League and win back his place in the England squad. Sterling has worked with Mikel Arteta before and has a good relationship with him.”
Sterling to Arsenal could happen
Sterling to Arsenal could be on the cards on deadline day.
Arsenal are interested in the player, and while Manchester United are also keen, the fact that his family would prefer to stay in London could sway things.
While transfers are often financially-motivated, we mustn’t forget that footballers are also human beings, and if Sterling’s family are happy in London, then surely Stering would prefer a move to Arsenal.
That said, Sterling does also have strong links back in Manchester having spent a long time with Manchester City, so it wouldn’t be the unsettling of moves if Sterling headed back up north.
This is a saga that will rumble on right up until the deadline, and we could well see Sterling end up at Arsenal before the end of the window.
