There have been several doubts over whether Ratcliffe will want to keep Ten Hag in charge this summer as Manchester United target an overhaul – Julian Nagelsmann is one name who the CEO of INEOS is said to be strongly considering.
Now – according to the – it is believed that people within the football industry feel Manchester United have already made a decision.
It is said that people within football expect Ten Hag to depart Old Trafford this summer, after what has been a truly miserable 2023/24 campaign for Manchester United.
The Independent add that Ratcliffe has shown a willingness to wait, but a decision has now allegedly been made on the 54-year-old and he will be sacked.
Alternatives to Julian Nagelsmann
As aforesaid, Ratcliffe is becoming increasingly more keen to hire Nagelsmann.
However, if the German signs a new contract with the Germany National Team after UEFA EURO 2024 this summer, other options will – of course – have to be explored.
One alternative to Nagelsmann is Gareth Southgate – who believe is on the shortlist alongside Roberto De Zerbi.
The believe Ruben Amorim of Sporting CP is another option – although the man from Lisbon is apparently already holding talks with Liverpool about replacing Jurgen Klopp.
