What Pedro Porro has said about his Tottenham future after being linked with Real Madrid
Tottenham Hotspur have made a mixed start to the 2024/25 campaign which has the Lilywhites slumped down in ninth spot.
Ange Postecoglou was left looking an aspirated figure on the sideline over the weekend after he watched his Tottenham side throw away the lead.
Spurs had taken a 2-0 lead into the break against Brighton & Hove Albion following an emphatic first half performance.
However, Tottenham fell back into their old ways and allowed the Seagulls to turn around the scoreline and lose out on any points.
There have been some positives to take from the opening seven games of the season but it seems as if the likes of Pedro Porro are already being forced to comment on their future at the club.

Pedro Porro speaks out on reported Real Madrid interest
Tottenham’s latest game did not exactly go to plan and it saw the likes of Porro come under criticism from Glenn Hoddle.
The Spurs legend feels as if the Spaniard is a problem for the Lilywhites when they are not in possession of the ball.
Despite this, it seems as if there have been some reports from Spain linking Porro with a potential move to Real Madrid at some point in his career.
Porro has just received a recall to the Spain national side for the latest international break where they face games against Denmark and Serbia.
And it has not taken long for the local media to quiz Porro on the possibility of leaving Tottenham after not even two years in north London.
“Of course I’m proud with these links, it means I’m doing things well,” Porro responded about the links to Madrid.
“If that happens one day, it happens. Now I’m fully focused on my clubs, Tottenham.”
Pedro Porro has proven highly important to Ange Postecoglou’s system
The Spanish right-back has now played 45 times under Postecoglou and has provided an impressive return of five goals and seven assists.
Porro has shown his strengths in attack since making the £39m move from Sporting CP back in January 2023.
However, there are some clear concerns from the likes of Hoddle over Porro’s defensive ability.
But in a side like Real Madrid’s, there may not be as much of a focus on his ability to defend given their usual dominance across Europe.
