Mohamed Elyounoussi is back on the radar of Arsenal after returning to the fold with Southampton this season.
, the Gunners want the 27-year-old, along with Leicester City.

It is a surprising link in many ways. The Norwegian – who cost £16 million – spent two years out on loan with Celtic after a difficult first year at St Mary’s.
Arsenal meanwhile, have a lot of depth in attacking areas. So it is hard to see what sort of role Elyounoussi would have in Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Having said that, it is not the first time that the forward has found his way onto Arsenal’s shopping list.
In 2018, that Arsenal had been monitoring Elyounoussi for some time having come up against him the previous year in the Champions League.
Obviously, no move would take place. But Elyounoussi dropped a clear hint that year that the Gunners did want him. And he suggested that he was flattered by the links.
“Is it Arsenal? I can’t comment, but it is a club that everybody knows with a long history,” he said, , when discussing one of the sides chasing him.
“A big club that has watched me a couple of times before, but they have now increased their interest in me.
“It is cool that such a big club is showing great interest. But of course I know a club like this has many players on its radar.”
Elyounoussi will surely jump at chance to make Arsenal move if Gunners make bid
It has been a mixed time on Southampton’s books for Elyounoussi. He struggled in that first season. And his time at Celtic coincided with a really disappointing spell for the Hoops.
He would surely welcome the chance to move to the Emirates if the opportunity presented itself in a future window.
Arsenal have shown some promise in the last few weeks. And of course, one of their key men moving forward is going to be Martin Odegaard.
The pair play together on international duty. And if they continue to move up the table, Elyounoussi would surely jump at the chance to join Arsenal if a move becomes a possibility.
