Clubs could now exploit Liverpool’s setback
It’s easy to say that Liverpool should go and sign a new midfielder now after they were rejected by Zubimendi two days ago.
However, the problem for the Reds is that every club on the planet now knows that they are in desperate need of a new man in the middle of their park.
That will make those clubs push their asking price up, which means Liverpool will have to overpay to get a new midfielder this summer.
But, Liverpool can only blame themselves for this situation.
If more money is what it will take to fix their midfield issue, FSG should open their chequebook and get the job done.
