What Marcus Rashford has privately indicated to Manchester United’s new owners after claims PSG want him

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), but the forward is happy to stay at Old Trafford.

The Englishman has come under a lot of criticism for his performances this season. He looks nothing like the player we saw last term, and that has resulted in rumours that he could leave Manchester United in the summer. His plans, however, are completely different.

Marcus Rashford has indicated to INEOS that he’s happy at Manchester United

Marcus Rashford has shown different sides of his game at Manchester United over the years.

We saw him break into the squad as a teenager and the world viewed him as a superstar in the making. He has had his poor spells too, which have resulted in plenty of criticism.

His best season, however, arguably came last term. He scored 30 goals and provided 11 assists in what was an incredible individual campaign.

This season, Rashford is struggling again, having scored just five times in 31 appearances. That has led to rumours linking him with a move to PSG, but Ben Jacobs has revealed now that the forward has ‘indicated’ to Manchester United’s new owners that he’s happy at the club.

The journalist told : “No, I don’t think Manchester United should be concerned because Marcus Rashford has indicated that he’s happy at United. It’s believed he’s very excited by this new INEOS-led project and to be a big part of that and to ultimately recapture his form from last season when he was on fire.

“The situation with PSG is that Rashford, as I revealed a few weeks back, is on the PSG list, and has obviously been a historical target as of 2022.

“But in the most recent contacts between the Rashford camp and PSG, prior to Rashford extending his Manchester United contract, PSG felt they were being used as part of a game for leverage to get Rashford the best possible terms at Old Trafford.”

Rashford needs to step up for Manchester United

Everybody knows Marcus Rashford has immense quality.

The Englishman has the ability to win games on his own for the Red Devils, and he has proven that in the past, having scored over 100 goals for the club.

Things are just not clicking for Rashford this season. It wasn’t for Rasmus Hojlund either earlier in the campaign, but he has now turned it around.

Rashford needs to do the same to give Manchester United the best chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
