What Marcus Rashford did while Manchester United teammates clapped away fans after 2-0 defeat to Arsenal

Marcus Rashford was surprisingly named on the bench by Ruben Amorim on Wednesday night as Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat against Arsenal.

The England international had scored three goals in the Portuguese tactician’s first two Premier League games in charge of the Red Devils, netting in the 1-1 draw against Ipswich before bagging a brace in the 4-0 win o✤ver Everton.

However, the 39-year-old opted to start Rasmus Hojlund in between Alejandro Garnacho and Mason Mount for the trip to the Emirates Stadium, with Manchester United mustering up just𝓡 two shots on target as Arsenal caused havoc from corner𒐪s.

After the 90 minutes had ended, fan footage captured Marcus Rashford – who came on as a 59th minute substitute – do something which may anger Ruben Amorim.

Marcus Rashford ignores Manchester United fans

Amorim made a conscious effort to drag every player over to the away end inside Portman Road after his first match in charge against 🐈Ipswich – keen to ensure the travelling Manchester United fans were acknowledged.

The ma🎶n from Lisbon did the same inside the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, with every player stoꦜop applauding the away section – aside from Rashford.

As you can see in the fan footage above, the Manchester United No.10 headed straight towards the tunnel as his🐼 fellow players and staff members showed their appreciation to supporters.

Regardless of whether Rashford was upset to be dropped after three ℱgoals in his last two Premier League games, this is not the attitude Manchester United players should be displaying, and Amorim may well be calling the 27-year-old into his office at Carrington to discuss itꦗ.

Ruben Amorim could lose Marcus Rashford

Rashford is a real enigma at Manchester United.

Sometimes, the Manchester United academy graduate looks like one of the best players on the planet, memorably netting 30 goals in𝓡 56 appearances undܫer Erik ten Hag in the 2022/23 campaign.

However, Rashford can then be prone to significant dro🍸ps in form, scoring only eight goals in 43 games last term.

This wild inconsistency could lead Amorim to sell the Englishman in 2025 – with PSG preparing a move for Rashford at the end of the season.

Ultimately, that decision will be a lot easier for Amorim, who shared a theory about Arsenal, to make if his No.10 fails 💛to even acknowledge Manchester United fans after a difficult result.
