What Leeds think has happened with Gustavo Hamer at Sheffield United after their initial bid

Leeds United are ending the summer transfer window really strongly and their business isn’t finished just yet.

The Whites have just signed Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon and are still looking to bring in a creative midfielder.

Sheffield United’s playmaker Gustavo Hamer has been identified by Leeds and a £13m bid has been rejected.

Though, The Blades have evidently rejected the offer and are thought to be demanding around £20m for his signature.

Now, it’s just emerged what Hamer is feeling about the initial bid.

Leeds United think they’ve turned Gustavo Hamer’s head

According to , Leeds United believe they’ve turned their head of Hamer after submitting a £13m bid for his signature.

It’s claimed a contract has already been prepared for the 27-year-old, who is expected to accept the terms on offer if the two clubs can agree a fee.

Leeds are expected to make a second bid before Friday’s deadline but they are reluctant to go beyond £15m – which won’t be enough.

Chris Wilder is desperate to keep hold of his talisman and has been speaking to the media about The Whites’ bid…

Chris Wilder reacts to Gustavo Hamer bid

Wilder issued a pretty strong response when asked about Leeds’ reported bid for Hamer.

“I don’t know [if they’ll make another bid],” the 56-year-old said.

“I really don’t know what they’re thinking. Everyone knows what the bid is. They’ve brought in £120m and trying to nick our player for what the bid is. I don’t know what it was supposed to do but it hasn’t done anything and it hasn’t from Gus’ point of view.”

So, it seems the two clubs are a long away of agreing a deal for Hamer.
