What Jurgen Klopp said about Arne Slot before he officially become Liverpool manager now looks absolutely correct
Some Liverpool fans were surely anxious after Jurgen Klopp announced he would be leaving.
As Manchester United and Arsenal have shown after losing Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger res🎃pectively, it can often take some time to handle a hugely successful manager departing.
However, the Reds have arguably become even better under Arne Slot – sitting 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League with just one defeat in 27 games, h🍨aving also tജopped the UEFA Champions League table.
Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
1 | 27 | 19 | 7 | 1 | 64 | 26 | 38 | 64 | |
2 | 26 | 15 | 8 | 3 | 51 | 23 | 28 | 53 | |
3 | 26 | 14 | 5 | 7 | 44 | 33 | 11 | 47 | |
4 | 26 | 13 | 5 | 8 | 52 | 37 | 15 | 44 |
While some Liverpool supporters might be surprised by this, Jurgen Klopp saw it coming.
Jurgen Klopp backed Arne Slot to fit in seamlessly
Speaking on the pitch after his final game as Liverpool boss, a 2-0 win over Wolves, the German reassured fans by saying: “Change is good, you just never know what to expect, but if you approach it with the right attitude then everything🎀 will be fine, the basics are there, the right foundation is 100% there.
“That’s 🐓the team, and the new coach, manager… you dive head first into it! You wꦛelcome the new manager like you welcomed me. You give it your all from day one!”

Aside from Federico Chiesa, Slot is yet to actually sign anybody at Liverpool, reinfo🦂rcing Klopp’s point that the foundations were ♋already there for the Dutchman to succeed straight away.
ℱOf course, that is not intended to downplay the 46-year-old’s achievements, as he has still impressively put his own stamp on the side, seemingly bringing added control as opposed to the 57-year-old’s style, which felt more gung-ho.
Arne Slot now planning his own tweaks at Liverpool
Slot has worked incredibly well with the players given to him, but🌸 despite there being jus🍌t 11 Premier League games left, it seems he already knows who to replace, with some targets in mind.
Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool this summer after scoring just six goals in 35 appearances so far this season – the Reds admire Hugo Ekitike, who could replace the Uruguay international.

Furthermore, Liverpool want Jeremie Frimpong, as Trent Alexander💮-Arnold is expected to join Real Madrid w༺hen his contract expires at the end of the season.
Once Slot adds a few headline additions of his own, Liverpool could get ✃even better.
