What Jesse Lingard said to Yang Min-hyeok after he signed for Tottenham this summer

Tottenham Hotspur’s summer business has been limited with five players having been signed but with two of those signings not exactly new arrivals.

Timo Werner has been retained for this season on another loan deal from RB Leipzig having spent the second half of last term at Tottenham.

And then there is the youngster Yang Min-hyeok who signed from Gangwon FC over the summer but has immediately returned to the K League.

The South Korean winger will see out the remainder of the season with Gangwon before making the move to north London in January.

Ange Postecoglou has already sanctioned a similar move since being appointed the Spurs boss with Lucas Bergvall returning to Djurgardens after signing earlier this year.

And it seems there is one experienced Premier League footballer in Jesse Lingard who is offering any advice needed from the 18-year-old.

What Jesse Lingard said to Yang Min-hyeok

Spurs have been keen to bolster their attacking line this summer and that has recently seen Dominic Solanke and Wilson Odobert signed.

Odobert seriously impressed Heung-min Son over the weekend on his Tottenham debut in the win over Everton.

And with just days remaining in the summer window, it has to be remembered Spurs will be getting a boost in January when Yang joins up with the squad at Hotspur Way.

Lingard’s FC Seoul played Gangwon over the weekend – where Lingard scored – but before the game the Englishman spoke to Yang, via his translator.

The interaction was captured by the FC Seoul channel which saw Lingard offer Yang any help he needed ahead of his move to London next year.

“He will like London. London city is top. If he needs help, I will help him,” Lingard said to Yang, through his translator.

Yang Min-hyeok has already left Ange Postecoglou furious in Tottenham friendly

Following his signing for Spurs, Yang played against the north London side in a pre-season friendly for the K League All Stars.

And it was quite the showing from the 18-year-old winger who provided Emerson Royal with a torrid time at right-back.

Yang twisted Emerson inside and out which saw Postecoglou go ballistic on the touchline as he unleashed his anger on his players for not closing Yang down.

Clearly, the 18-year-old is still trying to learn English with a translator still being required.

Over the next few months it will be important for Yang to try and pick up the basics but he will also have Son waiting to provide him with the help he needs once he land at Hotspur Way.
