What is being said about Simon Adingra and Arsenal just before deadline day
Arsenal may still sign a new attacking player before the transfer deadline.
The Gunners are in the market for a new attacker before deadline day, and there have been a few interesting links emerging.
Kingsley Coman is someone Arsenal are interested in, while the Gunners were also credited with an interest in Simon Adingra from Brighton.
Adingra has really impressed at the start of this season, and the Gunners are said to be fans of the Ivorian.
Speaking on The Arsenal Way YouTube channel, Kaya Kaynak has shared some insight into Arsenal’s interest in Adingra, and he says he’s been told the Brighton star would cost around £50m at this point.
Simon Adingra would cost £50m
Kaynak shared what he’s been told about Adingra and Arsenal.
“Simon Adingra has been mentioned. I was told it would take around £50m to get him out of Brighton this late in the window. That does seem a lot, but we will see, we will see,” Kaynak said.
“I think Arsenal would benefit from bringing Adingra in because he is a good player who’s going to get even better.”

Simon Adingra to Arsenal is unlikely
Simon Adingra would be a very good signing for Arsenal, but at £50m, it has to be said that this move looks unlikely.
Arsenal haven’t been spending frivolously this summer, and while they may still have a trick or two up their sleeves before the deadline, it’s hard to see the Gunners splashing £50m on a player who isn’t even a starter for Brighton.
Adingra would be a great depth option for Arsenal, and at the age of 22, he has loads of potential.
However, for this sort of money so late in the day, Arsenal are better off looking elsewhere.
Perhaps this is one that could be revisited next summer, but, for now, it looks as though Adingra will be staying at Brighton.
