Spotted: What Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg did after Tottenham’s third goal against Leicester
Tottenham cruised past Leicester City today as they put the pressure back on Arsenal when it comes to the race for the top four.
Goals from Heung-Min Son (2) and Harry Kane ensured Spurs bounced back from two miserable performances to show they still very much fancy the Champions League places. And with Arsenal playing at West Ham today, things could well end in Spurs’ favour come the evening.

Against the Foxes today, Spurs showed the sort of cutting edge that they’ve been missing in recent weeks. And one man who was key to that was star forward, Heung-Min Son. The South Korean was once again a difference maker, and his second goal really caught the eye. Indeed, it seemed to even take his teammates by surprise, as can be seen with how Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg reacted.
midfielder was right behind the strike from Son – which flew into the top corner – and he looked like he couldn’t believe what he’d seen as he put his hands above his head in shock.
Of course, Son scoring is nothing new for Spurs fans or players. But the manner of the goal today was quite something, especially given it was on his weaker left foot.
TBR’s View: Hojbjerg Was Most Tottenham Fans When Son Scored
They don’t come much sweeter than that, do they? Son simply got hold of this one perfectly and the way it flew into the top corner was a joy to behold. Hojbjerg’s reaction was probably similar to a number of Spurs and Leicester fans.
It was a moment of genius from a player who has been outstanding for Tottenham. Harry Kane gets so many plaudits for Spurs, but Son is equally as important at times.
If Tottenham do make the top four, then Son’s form will be a factor.
