What Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura have just said to Harry Kane after Tottenham legend wins his first trophy

Harry Kane and Eric Dier have become the latest players to win a trophy after leaving Tottenham Hotspur.

Both players had never won any silverware before in their senior club careers despite spending several years at Tottenham, and the wait finally ended on Sunday.

Bayern Munich clinched the Bundesliga title after Bayer Leverkusen failed to win their game against Freiburg at the Mooswaldstadion.

Kane had been dreaming of winning silverware for a long, long time, and he can finally call himself a champion in Germany.

Many of his old Spurs teammates are delighted for him.

Tottenham have gone over 17 years without winning any silverware.

Spurs have had several incredible players and managers in that period, but for one reason or another, none of them could lift a trophy.

Kane came close on a couple of occasions when he was at Tottenham, most notably in the final of the Champions League in 2019.

Losing that game was clearly painful for the striker, and the fact that he lost two finals with England as well made things even more difficult.

In the summer of 2023, Kane left Tottenham and joined Bayern Munich with the dream of finally ending his trophy drought. In what was a big surprise, however, he failed in his first season there.

But, in his second campaign, Kane has done it, and his old teammates are thrilled for him.

Under his Instagram post, his old Spurs pal Lucas Moura wrote: “You deserve it, brother. Congrats! Very happy for you!”

Erik Lamela added: “Congrats Harry !! You deserve much more than this! Enjoy, brother.”

Harry Kane’s stats since leaving Tottenham

Everyone knows how good Harry Kane was when he was at Tottenham.

The Englishman was by far Spurs’ best player during his time in North London, and he is the reason why they finished in respectable positions in the table more often than not.

However, it became clear to Kane that winning big trophies was unlikely at Tottenham, so he chose Bayern Munich. He has been incredible there.

At 31 years of age, Kane has finally fulfilled his dream of winning a trophy, and his social media uploads show that he is absolutely delighted.

What would make him even happier is to see his beloved Tottenham win silverware too – and that’s possible this season.

Spurs have one foot in the final of the Europa League, and they are, in many people’s eyes, the favourites to win the competition.

Jamie O’Hara thinks Tottenham will win the Europa League if they face Manchester United in the final.
