Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe is close to leaving the club and he’s now taken a big step towards sealing his fate with his latest action.

Smith Rowe is expected to sign for Fulham after reports today suggested a deal has been agreed between the clubs.

The midfielder has been tipped to leave all summer after Mikel Arteta was unable to find regular minutes for him.

And now, it very much looks like Smith Rowe is on his way out.

Of course, Smith Rowe has travelled with Arsenal’s squad over to the USA but he hasn’t featured so far, with the impending move away being part of that decision.

And according to , Smith Rowe has now taken what could be his final steps as an Arsenal player.

According to the report from Sky, Smith Rowe has now all but sealed his move away from the Gunners and he’s even moved to leave the camp in the US.

Taking such a decision very much seems like the final bit for the midfielder as he looks to get his transfer done and he’ll surely now head to Craven Cottage to seal things.

Smith Rowe will be hoping to put a miserable 12 months behind him by signing for the Cottagers and he’ll be hoping to make a big impression.

The now former Arsenal man could link up with Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, with Fulham expected to bid for the Scot again.

For Arsenal, it means they too can go and pursue targets with the funds raised from the sale.

The Gunners are expected to push hard now for Mikel Merino, having announced the signing of Riccardo Calafiori already.

Smith Rowe will leave The Emirates having made more than 100 appearances for the club.
