What Conte did on the sidelines just before Kulusevski scored against City is seriously impressive – TBR View

Antonio Conte led Tottenham Hotspur to a hugely impressive victory over Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s men went into the game as the undisputed favourites. Nobody expected Spurs to take anything away from the game, especially after they had lost three in a row in the Premier League before heading up north to Manchester.
Conte, however, had other ideas. A goal from Dejan Kulusevski and a brace from Harry Kane sealed a fantastic win for Tottenham and the Spurs boss deserves a ton of credit.
The Italian set his side out perfectly. It was almost as if he knew exactly what would happen in the game – at least that’s what his actions from the touchline showed us.
What Antonio Conte did on the sidelines just before Kulusevski scored
Kulusevski started a game for the first time on Saturday and it took the Swede less than four minutes to put Spurs ahead.
Hugo Lloris started the move by passing the ball to Christian Romero. The Argentine moved the ball across to Ben Davies, who fired it into the path of Kane. The Englishman, without taking a touch, set Son Heung-min through with an incredible pass and the South Korean rolled it across to Kulusevski, who just tapped the ball into the back of the next
Kane’s through ball was absolutely incredible. He deserves every bit of praise he’s getting. However, what’s even more impressive is what Conte did on the touchline.
Even before Davies’ pass reached Kane, Conte began gesturing towards Son, urging Kane to play the Korean in behind. Kane did exactly that and Spurs ended up taking the lead.
It’s seriously impressive that Conte knew exactly what Kane had to do even before the Englishman got the ball. You can watch the video on .

If there was any doubt about the fact that Conte’s a genius, that should come to an end right away.
The Italian is one of the best in world football. He is proven it time and again and the win on Saturday is up there with his best results as a manager over the last six years.
Daniel Levy has to back Conte in next summer’s transfer window. If Spurs could do what they did against Manchester City with some of the players they have, just imagine what they would be capable of if the Italian gets all the players he wants.
This summer’s transfer window could just be the most important one ever for Spurs but if history is anything to go by, Levy will not fully be on the same page as his manager, which could give rise to fireworks.
