What Chris Wilder has said about Mikel Arteta before Arsenal face Sheffield United tonight
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has now been recalling some tough times for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta before the sides meet tonight.
Wilder, who will be doing everything in his power to inspire a change of fortunes at Bramall Lane right now, sees his side 11 points from safety ahead of tonight’s game in hand.

On the other side, Arteta will be trying to close the gap to Liverpool and Manchester City after both rivals won in dramatic fashion this weekend.
Arsenal are very much in the title race, and will be looking to avoid any potential banana skin as they travel up north tonight.
And whilst things are pretty rosy right now, Wilder has been recalling a time when things weren’t so seamless for Arteta at Arsenal.
The Blades boss has been praising the Spaniard for the success he’s already achieved, and mentioned the adversity he has had to come through.
Of course, it’s almost hard to remember how difficult Arteta’s start to life as a manager in North London was given his solid foundations now.
Chris Wilder says he’s got so much respect for Mikel Arteta’s progress at Arsenal
Speaking via , Wilder recognised the journey Arteta had been on, and said he had so much admiration for the job he was doing.
Wilder said: “I’ve an incredible amount of respect for Mikel because he’s been through tough times at Arsenal and come through them.

‘Everyone at one stage thought a change would be made.
“But Mikel came through that and won a trophy early on [the FA Cup in 2020], after knocking us out in lockdown.
“The way Mikel is progressing, moving and building his team is really good to see.”
Of course, Wilder will still be hoping to stunt that progress when Arteta arrives with his Arsenal team to Bramall Lane tonight.
And Arteta will arrive with a stronger squad than in recent weeks.
Both Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey should be fit to play minutes, and perhaps we may also see the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko back on the bench – three very timely returns if so.
That considered, Cesc Fabregas has now been sharing his prediction for tonight’s game.
